This notice explains how SpawnDroid handles personal data across the marketing site, the console, and the device platform. It covers the waitlist, accounts, uploaded builds, and the analytics we use.
Who we are
SpawnDroid operates spawndroid.io, app.spawndroid.io and docs.spawndroid.io. For anything in this notice you can reach us at engineering@spawndroid.io.
What we collect
- Account data — your name, email address, and organisation, provided through our authentication provider (Clerk) when you sign up.
- Workspace data — the apps, APK builds, versions and metadata you upload, plus API keys you create.
- Usage data — streaming minutes, session records, and the organisation they belong to, used for billing and support.
- Waitlist data — the fields you submit on the early-access form: email, and optionally name, company, role, use case, team size and build volume.
- Technical data — the requests your browser makes to load the site, processed by our hosting and analytics providers.
Why we use it
- To provide the service: install your build, stream the device, and store your apps.
- To operate accounts, workspaces, plans and usage metering.
- To contact you about early access to paid plans and to answer support requests.
- To keep the service secure and prevent abuse.
Legal bases
Where GDPR applies, we rely on performance of a contract for providing the service, our legitimate interests for security and product improvement, and your consent for the early-access waitlist and non-essential analytics. You can withdraw consent at any time.
Uploaded builds
APKs you upload are stored in object storage on our behalf and are used only to run previews for your workspace. They are not shared with other tenants, and they are deleted when you remove them or when your account is closed.
Processors we use
- Clerk — authentication and organisation management.
- Netlify — hosting for the web apps and form submissions.
- Neon — managed Postgres and S3-compatible object storage.
- Cloudflare — DNS and cookieless web analytics.
- Oracle Cloud — the device host that runs Android sessions.
Analytics
The marketing site uses Cloudflare Web Analytics, a cookieless, privacy-first measurement service. It does not track you across sites and does not set cookies.
Retention
- Waitlist entries are kept until the early-access programme ends or you ask us to delete them.
- Account and workspace data are kept while your workspace is active, then deleted on request.
- Builds are retained per your plan's version history and removed when superseded by our retention sweep.
Your rights
You can ask for a copy of your data, request correction or deletion, or object to processing by emailing engineering@spawndroid.io. If you believe we have handled your data incorrectly you can complain to your local supervisory authority.
Changes
We may update this notice as the product evolves. Material changes will be reflected by the date at the top of this page.
